Who doesn’t want to sun beautiful things every night? It is like a respite for your mind and your body and also, when you dream beautiful things you wake up the next day with a better mood … because you had a good night! Throughout your nighttime sleep, you go through two sleep phases . These include rapid eye movements or REM sleep and non-REM sleep.

These cycles alternate every 90 minutes, and during REM sleep, you have the most vivid dreams . During this time, nightmares can occur. Nightmares can be a reflection of a stressful day, medications, or frightening visual images seen just before going to sleep. Because nightmares can affect the quality of your sleep, it is important to practice a sleep routine that ensures that you have good dreams for a good night’s rest.

You may think that you cannot control your mind when you go to sleep, but in reality you have much more power than you imagine. If you follow these tips you will realize that every night can be a good adventure for you, dreams will be lived and you can also remember them as adventures that you have lived while your mind rested.

Avoid watching movies that affect you

Avoid watching a scary movie or reading a scary book before going to sleep. You can carry this state of fear with you while you sleep, which could result in bad dreams, such as nightmares that do not allow you to get all the rest you need to have a good night’s sleep.

Establish sleep routines

Establish a consistent sleep routine that allows you to get enough sleep. For adults, this is about seven to eight hours a night … if it is less, you will feel too tired.

The teens , however, may need up to nine hours of sleep per night. Sleeping less than this amount of sleep can result in more vivid and sometimes stressful dreams. Lack of sleep results in a more vivid sleep state, which could cause you to sleep without rest.

Do not take medications that affect sleep

Avoid taking medications or using other stimulants that can affect your sleep. These include alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, blood pressure medications, and antidepressants. Although taking these can initially suspend REM and prevent you from entering deeper stages of sleep, once you stop taking them, you will experience deeper REM sleep , which can prevent nightmares.

Do something relaxing before going to sleep

Do something plump up before you go to sleep. Because stress can cause nightmares, it’s best to do an activity that helps you feel more comfortable. These include taking a bath in the tub, reading a book , listening to music, or meditating to relax.

Have a unique room to sleep and have privacy

Normally, the bedroom is the room destined to sleep and have privacy. It should be the most comfortable and relaxed stay in your home. This means having a comfortable mattress with curtains that block out the light and having the room at a comfortable temperature. By ensuring that you only focus on sleeping and relaxing while in your room, you are likely to experience better dreams.

Think about what you want to dream

Every night, before you go to bed, think about what you would like to dream that night and imagine it. Project that image in your mind so that in that way your mind knows that it is important to you at that moment. Once you get used to doing this every day, you will start dreaming more pleasant things.
