2. You have trouble listening to other points of view

People with low EI feel they are right and will defend their position with great vigor, but they refuse to listen to what others have to say.  This is particularly true if other people criticize how the person does not understand what others are feeling. They are often pessimistic and overly critical of other people’s feelings.

3. Lack of empathy

4. You blame others for your mistakes.

People with low emotional intelligence have little idea of ​​how their own emotions can lead to problems. When things go wrong, your first instinct is to blame others. They often blame the characteristics of the situation or the behavior of other people for their actions. They might suggest that they had no other choice for what they did and that other people are simply not understanding their situation. This tendency not to take responsibility often makes them feel bitter and victimized.

5. You have a hard time dealing with emotionally intense situations

Strong emotions, whether their own or those of other people, are difficult to understand for those with low emotional intelligence. These people will often walk away from such situations to avoid having to deal with the emotional consequences. Hiding your true emotions from others is also very common in people with low EI.

6. You have sudden emotional outbursts

The ability to regulate emotions is one of the five critical components of emotional intelligence. People with low EI often have a hard time understanding and controlling their emotions. They could have unexpected emotional outbursts that seem exaggerated and uncontrollable … Because they just want to show their feelings without taking into account what that can cause in others.
