Explore your suffering
You need to think about how you can explore your suffering and find out what it is that is causing you discomfort. Usually people suffer more than they should and sometimes without realizing it. You do not have to suffer a lot to feel discomfort, small sufferings also hurt you and affect your happiness and also those around you. Some causes of suffering are:
1- Stress. The work or daily responsibilities may cause you stress and make you suffer. Self-compassion would reduce this suffering and allow you to deal with situations more calmly, increasing your levels of happiness throughout the day.
2- Frustration. Little frustrations happen all the time. Self-compassion can help you defuse frustrations and handle situations appropriately.
3- Get angry with others. When another person makes you angry, the other person does not make you angry, you get angry by yourself and this makes you suffer. This can cause you unhappiness but instead of affecting your relationship with others, it is best to apply self-compassion and calm yourself to respond well to the situation, even feeling compassion for the other person.
4- Feeling bad about yourself. There are many reasons why you can feel bad about yourself and it can lead to actions that are harmful to you. Self-pity relieves this pain and leads not only to more helpful actions but to happiness .
There are many other causes that can cause you suffering, such as not exercising, lack of gratitude, lack of empathy from other people with you, etc.
